Ivan Briones is a student, writer, photographer, and all-around creative. Art and design have strongly influenced his perception of the world, and he is a strong believer in the power of creative thinking. Briones is currently studying at St. Mary’s University of San Antonio seeking a degree in Communication and a double minor in Visual Communication Design and Art. He has been commissioned for media and marketing content solutions for several organizations, some of which include the Greehey School of Business, St. Mary’s Law, Omicron Alpha Chapter of Delta Zeta, and others. He was also selected as one of the recipients for the USAA Business Innovation Scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year and will be patterning with a local non-profit to deliver a tangible solution to a real-world problem or issue.
Briones currently works for The Rattler, a student-run publication out of St. Mary’s University as the editor of photography. He is responsible for quality control and production of imaging for the publication in both areas of photography and illustration. Apart from his experience as an editor, he also has written several articles for the publication throughout his time on campus.
After graduating, Briones plans to seek a Masters in Communication Management or a Master of Fine Arts in Design.
